At the practice we offer all types of denture treatment. We can provide replacement of your existing complete and partial dentures copying those aspects which you like, to give you the appearance you desire. We work closely with our experienced dental technicians to provide the highest quality dentures.
We will advise you on all alternative treatment options when dental extractions (removal of teeth) are necessary. If you have concerns about having dentures, particularly if you are a first time wearer, we will steer you sympathetically through what can be a difficult psychological experience. There is no need to be without your front teeth at any stage and with careful preparation dentures can be inserted immediately after extractions.
Many of our denture wearers are helped enormously with implants which can help stabilise and retain dentures so they don’t move around. The dentures attach to the implants with studs or clips and can still be removed by you for cleaning. However, sometimes our denture wearers replace their dentures completely with fixed implant bridges just like natural teeth.
Crown & Bridgework
Dental crowns can be made from porcelain, gold, or a combination of the two materials. They completely cover a filled or broken down tooth as well as providing strength and support for teeth which have been heavily filled, fractured or root treated.
Bridges can be used to replace one or more missing teeth. Minimally destructive adhesive techniques can sometimes replace a single tooth by bonding to healthy adjacent teeth. Conventional fixed bridgework can be constructed to replace one or more missing teeth by using fixed crowns on the adjacent teeth, supporting the replacement in between them.
All our laboratory made restorations are constructed to the highest standard in conjunction with highly skilled technicians with whom we work very closely. When necessary we will arrange for you to meet our ceramist in the surgery or at their laboratory so that the shade for your restoration can be photographed allowing the best possible colour match.
All of the dentistry we undertake is carried out to the highest cosmetic standard. Where possible we use conservative cosmetic procedures, such as tooth lightening (bleaching), which are non invasive and do not harm teeth. We work closely with our Consultant Orthodontist Spencer Nute when teeth may need to be moved to improve the appearance of the smile.

Our aim is to help you adopt a healthy approach to your teeth so preventing decay and the need for fillings. There are several different types of dental filling materials and we will discuss with you the most appropriate for the best repair of your teeth. Where possible we will offer tooth coloured restorations. Damaged and unsightly teeth can often be rebuilt conservatively using tooth coloured adhesive restorations.
A porcelain veneer is a thin layer of ceramic material cemented onto the surface of the tooth. Veneers can be used to improve the appearance of stained, chipped or misaligned teeth.
